Mr. Barrett's house is an outdated storage designed from the within

The OFFICE has reworked an outdated storage with an condominium and designed it from the within. Positioned in Geneva, Switzerland, the 70-square-meter construction was emptied and reinvented in Mr. Barrett's house. To do that, the higher wooden ground was raised in order that the bottom ground might be strengthened and structured, after which put again in place to complete the home. The outside of the highest ground has been preserved and is now related to a brand new inside, skimmed in easy birch plywood, for a constant and fashionable aesthetic.

The 2 flooring of the inside are visually linked by "advanced sections" that give the house a extra open look. Excessive ceilings and angles enable the eyes to maneuver by way of the voids within the hope of enriching the lives of those that dwell there.

Round home windows have been added to offer the outside a contemporary look, however over time they’ll age and can regularly turn into a part of the constructing, as was the unique ornamentation.

OFFICE conceived the home as if it had a "dynamic actor", named Mr. Barrett, who mixes with the inhabitants who dwell their life in a play (the home) and its varied phases (inside areas).
